Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and track chronic or repetitive defects based on PIREPs, MIREPs, Crew Calls, and Skywise health monitoring system.
  • Cross-check aircraft technical log repetitive defects and Non-Essential Furnishings (NEF) items.
  • Review Significant Maintenance Reports (SMR) and Class 3 faults to identify early failure trends.
  • Ensure rectification methods align with previous repair attempts based on Fleet Airworthiness Directives (FAD) experience.
  • Manage NEF-referenced defects to minimize extension requests and ensure timely repairs.
  • Oversee component replacements, including troubleshooting through swapping/robbing methods.
  • Provide detailed troubleshooting guidance to assist in routine aircraft defect analysis.
  • Liaise with Line Maintenance, MCC Controllers, and Line Planning teams to schedule aircraft ground time for rectification.
  • Work closely with Materials and Component Repair/Overhaul teams to reduce ‘No Fault Found (NFF)’ occurrences.
  • Ensure the Reliability Department is informed of emerging adverse reliability trends.
  • Coordinate with the Material Team to resolve spare parts and tooling shortages.
  • Generate and distribute reports & statistics for defect analysis to support the Continuous Airworthiness Surveillance System (CASS) program.
  • Escalate critical defects that fall outside the troubleshooting/rectification process.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in aviation maintenance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • OR: Aviation-related diploma with a GACA License.


Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a certifying aircraft professional.
  • At least 2 years of experience as an MCC Controller.


Technical Skills & Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of GACAR regulations.
  • Proficiency in AIRBUS WORLD and related technical manuals.
  • Experience working with AMOS maintenance software.
